Introducing UX to a Team That Didn't Really See the Need

Beginning in early 2023, I worked Product leads and developrs to modernize how business analysts (“Data Wranglers”) delivered reports to field leaders (“Road Warriors”) across Wealth Management, Business Banking, and Consumer Banking.


The existing process was slow, manual, and riddled with data lags, undermining leaders’ ability to prepare for coaching visits. Our team conducted deep user research to uncover pain points and prioritize critical data needs, while working within the constraint of building the solution in Tableau rather than a custom web application.


The result was a redesigned Wealth Management Dashboard, launched in March 2025 and rolled out to ~400 field leaders nationwide. Early feedback was overwhelmingly positive: the dashboard streamlined prep, surfaced the right KPIs, and enabled more impactful client conversations. Despite constraints, we delivered a solution that met urgent business needs and demonstrated how UX research can drive adoption and trust in data tools.
